In the remote village of Oting, in the hills of Mon district, Nagaland lives a bright 4-year-old girl named Lemkhao. From an early age, Lemkhao suffered from a serious eye condition that threatened not just her vision, but her future of getting educated. Unfortunately, her family, like many in the region, faced financial hardships and were unable to afford the necessary medical treatment
Lemkhao’s story could have remained one of silent suffering—until it reached the ears of Mr. Manesh Mathew, the visionary founder of Medezer. Recognizing the urgency and gravity of the situation, Manesh and the Medezer team stepped in without hesitation. Leveraging their healthcare network and commitment to underserved communities, they arranged for Lemkhao to be brought to Guwahati, where she could receive the specialized medical attention she so desperately needed.
The journey wasn’t easy. Lemkhao had to undergo a serious of examination, followed by a delicate procedure. But through every step, Mr Manesh Mathew was there -encouraging her, reassuring her family, and ensuring that she received the best possible care.
Today, Lemkhao story stands as a reminder of how small acts of kindness can bring life-changing hope. At medezer, we believe that healthcare should never remain a privilege, but a right accessible to every child, regardless of where they come from.
